Professional Negligence: Compensation for Negligent Conveyancing Solicitors

Our Dispute Resolution team have obtained compensation of £28,500 for a client who lost the opportunity to sell her property due to the failure of her solicitor both to promptly register her title with the Land Registration and to secure an NHBC certificate in good time.  The firm of solicitors and its insurers have also agreed to pay our client’s legal costs.


Professional Negligence: Contaminated land claim resolved

With the assistance of Michael Batty a couple have obtained compensation of £12,500 following a successful professional negligence claim against a firm of Solicitors in Northampton who failed to identify a contaminated land issue when acting for them in connection with the purchasing of a residential property in Wellingborough.

Personal Injury: Compensation for Negligent Beauty Treatment

A client who has been awarded £17,500 after being left scarred by a skin treatment session that went wrong at a salon in Suffolk has praised her solicitor, Michael Batty saying "Michael's handling of the case has been absolutely marvellous". The salon and its insurers have also paid our client's legal costs.

Merger of David Roberts Domaines with Goedhuis & Co

Chris Thomson has advised Master of Wine David Roberts on the merger of his business David Roberts Domaines with one of London’s leading independent wine merchants, Goedhuis & Co. Chris has acted for David Roberts Domaines since its formation in 2005. David will head up buying for the combined business and becomes a director and shareholder of Goedhuis.


BMS Computer Solutions Ltd v AB Agri Ltd

Greene & Greene has secured a major victory for client BMS Computer Solutions Limited. BMS supplies computer software and support services to customers in the animal feed industry. Partner Neil Walmsley has acted for BMS since the early 1990s, advising on its agreements and other commercial issues. Customer AB Agri challenged those agreements, alleging that it could continue to use BMS software without paying for support.
