International Women's Day 2019

"I am immensely proud to be a Partner at Greene & Greene today on International Women’s day, which also marks 100 years since the Sex Disqualification (Removal) Act was passed, which paved the way for women to finally practise law - an important milestone in the slow progress towards the rights of women." Selene Holden, Employment Law.

The first female partner to lead the way at Greene & Greene was Lorna Stewart, who became a Partner on 1 January 1961.  Subsequent female Partners include Katherine Chandler (nee Frith) who joined the Firm in 1982 and became a Partner in 1985, Suzanne Alston, who joined the Firm in 1985 and became a Partner in 1987, Anne Dunlop who became a Partner in 1994, Kate Chandler (yes, that’s right, another Kate Chandler!) who became a Partner in 1996, Helen Wingfield who became a Partner in 2006 and then myself who became a Partner in 2007, followed more recently by Ansa Khan who was promoted to Partner in December 2018.

However, we are celebrating all women today and we are very lucky at Greene & Greene to have a fantastic group of women working here – we salute you all!
